2026 Birmingham Rose Show – May 9 & 10, 2026
The Birmingham Rose Society will hold their Rose Show on Saturday and Sunday, May 9th and 10th. Exhibitors may prep on Saturday from 6am to 10am. The show will open to the public on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm and also on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Arrangement Theme: “Run for the Roses”. More information coming. http://www.birminghamrose.org/

Foxview Roses in Lake Worth – ROSES for SALE
Pruning Workshop at Foxview Roses
Address: 4680 Foxview Place, Lake Worth. 10 am – noon.
We will demonstrate how to correctly prune hybrid teas, floribundas, old tea roses and climbers. You will also have a chance to practice. Bring your questions about rose issues! Plus, roses on Fortuniana rootstock available for sale.
Bring your own pruners! We have a mobile knife sharpener truck coming and we will sharpen 1 pair of pruners for you. The truck will be here exactly at 10 am. Snacks and water will be provided and there will be some roses for sale if you wish. Please RSVP to Denise Abruzzese by email or text so I can plan accordingly. Thank you!

TROPICAL ROSE SOCIETY MEETINGS (Miami/Dade, Broward County):
The Tropical Rose Society meets most Second Tuesdays of the month at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens in Coral Gables, FL in Corbin Classroom A (or via Zoom link for members). Fairchild Address: 10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami, Florida 33156. Use the south “STAFF ONLY” parking lot. Doors open at Fairchild at 6:30 pm, meeting starts promptly at 7:00 pm.

GAINESVILLE ROSE SOCIETY MEETINGS AND EVENTS:
The Gainesville Rose Society (GRS) meets at 2:00 pm on the second Sunday of each month, September through April, at the Tower Road Public Library, 3020 SW 75th St, Gainesville, FL 32608.
2026 meeting dates: Jan 11, Feb 8, Mar 8, Apr 12, May 17 (fun picnic) and Jun 14 (another fun event).
ORLANDO AREA HISTORIAL ROSE SOCIETY MEETINGS AND EVENTS:
The Society meets at The Garden House at Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens 1920 North Forest Ave, Orlando FL on the first Sunday of the month. Doors open at 2:00 pm, program starts at 2:30 pm.

TAMPA ROSE SOCIETY MEETINGS AND EVENTS:
Tampa Rose Society meets on the third Tuesday of each month (except for June-August) at 7 pm at the Seminole Garden Center, 5800 N Central Ave, Tampa, FL 33604. Guests are welcome to attend. Come at 6:30 pm to socialize! Each meeting has a program and a Consulting Rosarian’s Report sharing what you should be doing to care for your Florida roses. We end the meeting with a fun raffle which often includes roses! Come and bring a gardening buddy or friend.
2025 Meeting Dates: January 21, February 18, March 18, April 15, May 20, and June 17 (no meetings July & August), September 16, October 21, & November 18 (no meeting in December due to the Annual Holiday Party).
